Den 29 juli 2012 tog jag med tillväxtborr (5 mm) prov ur fyra stockar i ängsladan i Hultsfreds hembygdspark. De provtagna stockarna är alla av tall, som fälldes vintern 1834/35. Korrelationsvärdena som överlag är ganska dåliga, antyder att träden kan ha vuxit på en mosse (och/eller höglänt). Höjdläge kan emellertid uteslutas då ladan kommit från Hammarsebo1, någon km väster om Hultsfred, och ca 160 m ö h, men att virket tagits vid någon våtmark där slåtter bedrivits är knappast orimlig.
